Every under water ROV drone needs a
cable for telemetry and position
control. These can be over 300M long
and can easily become tangled, so a
cable winder helps keep things
organized.
This secondary development and
testing phase, incorporated key
elements from the previous winder
design we produced for the client,
with the goal of reducing the package
size and weight whilst at the same
time boosting performance.
Numerous proof of
performance test rigs allowed
us to evolve the control
system alongside the
mechanism.. During power
assisted wind-out the user in
effect closes the control
systems feedback loop,
allowing cable to be pulled
effortlessly at any speed.
